I started the blog with the above statement to clarify its intent. This might be a subject that is of the least importance to you and I wouldn't want you to waste time reading this if you aren't interested. But if you are with me till now, maybe you care to know more. + +Before I begin, I would like to note that I have taken a somewhat more lackadaisical approach to this blog, and it seems to have taken a weight off my shoulders. I used to fret over trying to get the best possible articles out and that would make me never want to write. The effort it took to create an article seemed off-putting. But now I just type in something and as long as the spell-check clears, I publish it. I can always make edits to the articles if needed. One thing that helped me with this was the fact that, let us be honest, I realized no one reads this. And even if they did, since I don't run any analytics on this, I wouldn't know. Now back the regularly scheduled program. + +I had always just winged it when it comes to what I would do. But as I got older, I realized that time is limited and that if I do something, I am missing out on something else. Therefore, I wanted to be more cognitive on what I wanted to do. A simple analogy would be to eat whatever was on my plate to picking and choosing what I would like to eat. But as is in everything else in life, it is not black and white. As in investing, you would like to balance with returns. Going where life takes you could lead to possibilities that you would never have thought about at the risk of going nowhere. But completely sticking to the plan would close you off to experiences that could enrich your life. |
